Police reportedly responded to the home of a 78-year-old woman after receiving reports of an alarm at the residence. Responding officers allegedly discovered the woman’s body inside her home, and police believed that she was stabbed during a robbery.
Police claim to have caught the alleged intruder on surveillance video and made an arrest on the afternoon of the same day. The 27-year-old man accused of her death reportedly knew the victim as they lived in the same community. In addition to first-degree murder, the man is also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary. It is unclear what property is believed to have been stolen from the home.
